Reconciliation picture 

On fan-folded cardboard two different pictures were glued. Depending on the side you stand on, you see on the first picture either a bouquet of flowers or a bird. The picture showing a rose and a little angel is made to be seen either from above or below. Pastor Oberlin used these pictures to explain the meaning of tolerance : “to understand one’s neighbor and his point of view you need to put yourself in his place.”
